Workshop to offer comprehensive quality of life planning

Metro Wire Staff

The New ERA Workshop 2.0 is set for Friday, March 16.

The workshop—ERA stands for “Employee Retention and Attraction”—includes a continental breakfast, and will host current and future leaders from government, business, education, and community sectors to continue work on an action plan for “quality of life improvements” in Portage County.

“Portage County must be strategic in the realization that new and young professionals are essential to the future vitality of the community,” a press release from the Portage Co. Business Council reads in part.

The workshop will review what has been accomplished locally since the last community workshop in February of 2016, which included input from over 100 participants; then develop and prioritize what needs to be done to ensure that vitality in the future.

“The work needs to continue,” said said Todd Kuckkahn, director of Portage County Business Council. “It will be great to hear what has been accomplished in our community and to prioritize the challenges we face ahead.”

The event will be held Friday, March 16, from 8 AM until noon in the atrium of SentryWorld in the Atrium, 601 Michigan Ave. North.

The event is free, but registration is required at portagecountybiz.com under the “events” tab. For more information email [email protected].
