ROSHOLT – The General Federation of Women’s Clubs-Stevens Point hosted the Northwoods District Spring Convention on Saturday at the Wisconsin Lions Camp.
District President Marianne Potter addressed members during the April 12 event, which brought together representatives from across the region to discuss initiatives and share ideas in five key focus areas: arts and culture, civic engagement, education and libraries, environment, and health and wellness.
The local GFWC group has supported various community projects over the years, including Jaws of Life equipment for emergency responders, improvements to KASH and Seramur parks, and the installation of Little Free Libraries.
Upcoming events include the GFWC-Wisconsin State Convention, which will be held May 1-3 in Janesville, and the GFWC National Convention, beginning June 7 in Atlanta.
The next Stevens Point Women’s Club meeting is scheduled for May 8. For more information, contact Potter at [email protected].
