Whiting schedules public works, parks committee meeting

The village of Whiting has scheduled its next Public Works and Parks Committee meeting for Sept. 22.
The meeting agenda includes times for public comment on both agenda- and non-agenda items. Copies of the agenda will be available at the meeting.
The committee will discuss a flooding complaint from the 700 block of Hickory St. Also on the agenda is discussion and possible action on reducing excessive motorist speeding on County Trunk HH/McDill Ave.
The committee will also discuss potential 2021 capital expenses, including proposed village road projects and new equipment.
The meeting will be held in-person at the Whiting Municipal Center, 3600 Water St. The meeting is open to the public but masks and social distancing are required.
