Volunteers needed for city’s 2024 bicycle and pedestrian count

STEVENS POINT — The Stevens Point Bicycle and Pedestrian Street Safety Commission is seeking volunteers for the 2024 bicycle and pedestrian count, scheduled for Tuesday, Sept. 17, from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m.

The deadline to register as a volunteer is Tuesday, Sept. 10.

In the event of rain, the count will be rescheduled for Wednesday, Sept. 18, during the same time frame.

Volunteers are asked to check in at the Community Development Department Suite in City Hall, 1515 Strongs Ave., by 3 p.m. to collect materials, including clipboards, pens, and safety vests. Special accommodations can be arranged upon request.

The count will be conducted at specific intersections throughout the city, and volunteers may choose the location that interests them.
