Violet M. Knoll, 87

Violet M. Knoll, 87, of Plover went on to her eternal rest on Thursday, March 9, 2023, after being cared for by the kind and dedicated staff at Aspirus Riverview Hospital in Wisconsin Rapids.

Violet was born on December 3, 1935, in the Township of Hiles, Wood County, Wis., to the late Alf and Evelyn (Erdmann) Andreasen. She attended Immanuel Lutheran School and graduated from Lincoln High School in Wisconsin Rapids.

She married Henry Knoll on October 23, 1954 in Wood County. Together they built both a family they loved and a business, Knoll Construction, that made the dream of homeownership a reality for many in Portage County. Violet worked as a realtor and bookkeeper for that business.

She was a role-model of service and dedication who also worked for Simplicity Credit Union, served many years helping both teachers and students as a foster grandparent at Roosevelt School in Plover, assisted elections in the village of Plover, and was a member of Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church in Plover.

Violet loved to paint, creating beautiful ceramics and rosemaling keepsakes and hours of treasured memories while she crafted with her family and friends.

She also enjoyed gardening and tending her birdfeeders, computer games, and time spent with the people she loved including her weekly breakfast bunch.

She is survived by her daughters Cynthia Kalbakdalen of Plover and Patricia Loebach of Stevens Point; son David (Sandra) Knoll of Plover; grandchildren April Menadue and Lila Pawelski; and great-grandchildren Bryce, Tyler, Hayden, Aubrey, and Dayton.

She was preceded in death by her husband Henry Knoll, daughter Sandra Knoll, grandson Jerome Castona, brother Robert Andreasen, sisters, Marie (Ronald) Winters and Lillian Michalsen.
