Video: Knights kick off Christmas season with nativity lighting

The annual “Light Up For Christ” nativity lighting was held on Tuesday, Dec. 5.

About 50 people attended the annual tradition at the Knights of Columbus Clubhouse, 401 W. Clark St. The Pacelli choir led the group in singing several popular Christmas carols, and a local quartet, Alternative Medicine, also performed.

The Knights’ chaplin, Father Todd Mlsna, blessed the will bless the nativity setting. He also talked about the importance of “keeping the ‘Christ’ in Christmas” for the faithful.

The lighting of the nativity marks the beginning of the Christmas season for the Knights.
