The Portage Co. Sheriff’s Office has released the identities of the victims in Saturday’s fatal Hull car crash.

According to a news release from Sheriff Mike Lukas, a Saturn Ion, driven by 39-year-old Joel Kiedrowski of Stockton, was traveling west on Hwy. 10 when it sideswiped a Toyota Rav-4 before crossing the center line near Algoma St., colliding head-on with an eastbound GMC Sierra, just before 5 p.m. on Sept. 21.

Kiedrowski was pronounced dead at the scene by the Portage Co. Medical Examiner.

The Sierra was being driven by Thomas Swanson, 63 of Hartland. Swanson suffered severe injuries as a result of the crash and was transported to Aspirus Hospital of Wausau. His condition was not immediately known.

The Toyota was being operated by Paul Pederson, 62, of Merrill. His passenger, 50-year-old Kathleen Pederson, also of Merrill, received nonlife-threatening injuries and was taken to Aspirus Stevens Point.

Stevens Point and Plover police departments, the Stevens Point Fire Department and Ambulance Service, emergency crews from Hull, and the Wisconsin State Patrol, also responded to the scene.
