A 47-year-old man is dead following a single-vehicle collision in the town of Hull.
Emergency crews were called to Wilshire Blvd. North, about one-third a mile north of the Northpoint Dr. intersection, at 11:51 a.m. on Thursday when a pedestrian called 911 to report finding a man down on the side of the road.
Upon arrival, deputies determined the man was deceased. He’s been identified as Chad Martin Feltz of Stevens Point.
The Wisconsin State Patrol said that Feltz died Thursday when his 2022 Harley Davidson, which was northbound on North Wilshire Blvd., left the roadway, entered the east ditch, and crashed.
He was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash and died at the scene, WSP said.
The Wisconsin State Patrol is investigating the incident with assistance from the Stevens Point Police Department and the Portage County Sheriff’s Office.
The Wisconsin State Patrol, PCSO, SPPD, Hull Emergency Medical Responders, the Portage Co. Ambulance Service, and the Portage Co. Medical Examiner all responded to the scene.
