Utility work to close part of Church St. beginning Monday

City crews will close off a portion of Church St. on Monday to conduct underground utility work.

Both northbound lanes of Church St. between Michigan Ave. North and Heffron St. will be closed to through traffic beginning at 5 a.m on June 25. On Monday night at approximately 8 p.m., one lane of northbound traffic will reopen.

Concrete should be restored and the road should reopen completely by 3 p.m. on June 29, depending on the weather.

A detour route will be posted.
