Portage Co. deputies say they’re searching for an 18-year-old man who fled a shooting scene on Thursday morning.
Alec Varney is currently wanted for questioning in connection with a Town of Plover shooting that occurred shortly before 5 a.m. on April 26. A news release from Sheriff Mike Lukas said the shooting occurred on the 3800 block of Bluebird Dr. and was reported via 911 call.
Varney is a white male, approximately 6’3″ and 150 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes. He was last seen driving a dark blue 2005 Honda CR-V sport utility, with Wisconsin license plate number 783ZXY.
The suspect should be considered armed and dangerous, the release said.
“Do not approach this individual and contact 911 immediately,” Lukas said.
Lukas said three people in the home were injured in the home, though not all were shot.
“All of the victims are known to the suspect,” Lukas said Thursday morning. “At this point, we’re still unsure of the severity of their injuries because they’re still being treated at the hospital.”
Anyone who sees Varney should call 911 immediately, Lukas said.
