UPDATE: Police seek info on Arby’s burglary
By Brandi Makuski
Plover police are seeking information from the public on a burglary at Arby’s reported on Wednesday.
Plover Police Chief Dan Ault on Thursday said the investigation is still fresh and detectives aren’t releasing many details, but video surveillance captured someone wearing dark clothing, gloves, and a face mask entering the restaurant, 1825 Plover Rd., in the early morning hours of Sept. 18.
Ault said the suspect broke into the restaurant and stole an undisclosed amount of cash. Employees who came to open the store reported the incident at about 8 a.m. on Sept. 19, he said.
“There was some damage to the interior, but I don’t have a dollar amount yet,” Ault said.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Portage County Crime stoppers at 888-346-6600 or via the P3 app on a cellular telephone (Search P3 Tips in the Apple Store or Google Play to download the app).
