UPDATE: Missing woman with dementia found safe

PLOVER — Police say an area woman with dementia who went missing Wednesday morning has been found safe.
Valerie Rae Hedquist, 58, was last seen at approximately 12:15 a.m. Wednesday on Maple Drive in Plover, according to a Community Alert Notification issued by the Plover Police Department around 4:30 a.m. July 23.
Police Chief Ryan Fox said Hedquist walked to Rosholt, where her family’s home is located. He said a Portage Co. deputy confirmed at about 5:45 a.m. that she was home and in good health.
