UPDATE: Missing 11-year-old Plover girl found safe

Plover police say they have located a missing 11-year-old girl who went missing at about 2:30 p.m. on Sunday.

The girl, Abby, was found safe at Walmart at about 6:45 p.m., according to Plover Police Chief Dan Ault.

Ault said the PPD initiated a community announcement for the missing girl on Blackboard, which sends email, phone, or text messages to community members who sign up for the free alert program.

The message we recalled at 6:56 p.m. on Nov. 15.

Ault said the girl left her home in the Plover Pines Village mobile home community on foot and of her own free will.
