Stevens Point police say two people were injured in a knife-related incident at La Quinta Inn & Suites on Monday.
Police arrived on the scene at 12:26 PM after a caller reported an “ongoing physical disturbance” between a man and woman there.
According to a news release from SPPD, the man, identified only as a 24-year-old, fled the scene before officers arrived but was quickly located behind the building. He was arrested on a domestic disorderly conduct charge. Police recovered the knife involved, the release said.
Both the man, and a 32-year-old female victim, were treated by paramedics at the scene for non-life-threatening injuries.
It was not immediately known if either was a guest at the hotel.
Police say they are continuing to investigate, and are not releasing any additional information at this time.
