Two local leaders from the Boys & Girls Club have been inducted into the club’s Wisconsin Hall of Fame

Mark Toyota of Plover owner and CEO, Mark Olinyk, and Executive Director of the Boys & Girls Club of Portage County, Kevin Quevillon, were inducted during the Wisconsin Area Council Conference in Wisconsin Dells on Sept. 14.

Olinyk is a former club member and led the formation of the Wisconsin Rapids Boys & Girls Club. He even took out a personal loan to purchase the club’s first building. Later, after moving his Toyota Dealership, Mark Toyota, to Plover, Mark again assisted in starting a club in Plover for the Boys & Girls Club of Portage County.

Olinyk also previously served on the board but recently retired. He continues to support the club by hosting the Boys & Girls Club of Portage County Fine Arts Exhibit at his business, covering all expenses, as well as awarding one artist an art scholarship.

Kevin Quevillon was also a Boys & Girls Club member, in Green Bay. After college, Quevillon started as a program director at the Boys & Girls Club of Green Bay, landed a job as the Director of Resource Development in Wausau, and was then hired as the first Executive Director for the Boys & Girls Club of Portage County in 2002.

In 2022, Quevillon and the club will be celebrating 20 years of service to Portage County.

Quevillon has grown the club from one small building serving 30 teens each day to serving over 2,000 youth after school and during the summer at 10 locations throughout Portage County.

The Wisconsin Boys & Girls Club Hall of Fame is comprised of past club members, board members, staff, or volunteers that have shared their time, talents, and treasures with clubs across the state.

Olinyk and Quevillon join John Noel, former Travel Guard CEO and local philanthropist, who was inducted in 2019.
