Trump wows crowd of 18,000+ in Mosinee

President Donald Trump wooed the GOP faithful during an Oct. 24 rally in Mosinee, telling the crowd that dairy farmers played an important role in a new international trade agreement and denouncing violence against Democrats.
According to employees at the Central Wisconsin Airport, about 18,000 were in attendance for the rally, which also featured House Speaker Paul Ryan, Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker, Congressman Sean Duffy, and senatorial candidate Leah Vukmir at the Endeavor Hangar.
Trump began his remarks by addressing a series of package bombs sent to well-known Democrats, and CNN news headquarters, on Wednesday.
“No nation can succeed that tolerates violence,” Trump told the crowd. “The language of moral condemnation and destructive routine—these are arguments and disagreements that have to stop. Those engaged in the political arena must stop treating political opponents as being morally defective.”
“We will find those responsible and we will bring them to justice, hopefully very quickly,” the President said, adding he blamed the “media rhetoric” for some of the political divisiveness across the country, prompting boos towards the media pool in the back of the hangar.
Trump also said he’s heard from “every farmer in Wisconsin” about a disappearing milk tariff of 275 percent on some specialized milk products exported to Canada.
“It was just a step too far, right? I never forgot it, so you’re really responsible, to a large extent, for the USMCA,” he said, referring to the new United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement that will replace NAFTA.
The President also rallied the crowd about the much-debated $10-million Foxconn campus project in Mount Pleasant, which is expected to create up to 13,000 jobs for Wisconsinites.
Trump also told the crowd, many wearing “Make America Great Again” hats and t-shirts, that he supported a “fair” immigration policy and decried the caravan of some 5,000 Central American refugees traveling on foot to the U.S. border through Mexico. Trump said he plans to deploy at least 800 troops to the U.S./Mexico border to help support the Border Patrol.
Trump said the mid-term election on Nov. 6 will be one of “the caravans, Kavanaugh, law and order, tax cuts and common sense.”
“Let’s make America wealthy again,” he said.
