Thomas “Tom” E. Schultz, 69

Thomas “Tom” E. Schultz, of Stevens Point, died May 12, 2025. He was 69.

Schultz was born May 18, 1955, in Stevens Point to the late Dennis and Betty (née Wegner) Schultz. He graduated from SPASH in 1974 and served in the National Guard for 23 years.

In his earlier years, Schultz worked in several service stations as a mechanic. He later worked at Worzella Publishing as a general laborer before finding his calling as a diesel machinist at Diesel Machine Service in Amherst.

He married Jacklyn Helminski in 1981. She preceded him in death on Dec. 19, 2010. He later married Kay Bansemer in 2004. She preceded him in death on March 6, 2016.

He will be remembered for his mechanical ability and easygoing nature. He loved fixing and repairing anything mechanical, and enjoyed fishing, camping, puzzles, country music, and time with his family.

Survivors include his children, Jamie (Jared) Lehman, Brian (Jenni) Schultz, Charlotte Lemmer, and Thomas John “TJ” Schultz; siblings, Susan (Ralph) Hopfensperger, Dennis (Laurie) Schultz, and James (Karen) Schultz; grandchildren, Jordan, Sarah, Carmen, Danny, Olivia, Wyatt, Jonah, Evan, and Jason; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister-in-law, Julie Schultz; and a nephew, Jason Schultz.
