Team Schierl breaks record in charity fundraiser

Team Schierl Companies has hit a new record in fundraising during its annual golf classic.
The sold-out event, held on June 15, included a day of golf, silent and live auctions, and other activities. Former Green Bay Packers Craig Nall, Chris Francies, and Bill Ferrario were among the special guests.
The event raised over $140,000—a new record in fundraising for local charities, according to Kathy Ostrowski, marketing specialist with TSC.
Fund recipients for 2022 include Jeremiah’s Crossing, Sleep in Heavenly Peace, Sweet Dreamz of Wisconsin, Folds of Honor, as well as The Stevens Point Curling Club, Community Stadium in Stevens Point, Marshfield Area Sports Complex, and the Wisconsin Rapids Sports Complex.
Corporate sponsors assisting the event included Reyes Coca-Cola, Miller Lite, and Midwest Communications radio stations 101.9 WDEZ, 95.5 WIFC, and 99.9 WSAU.
Fritz Schierl, Co-CEO of TSC, said the event wouldn’t be possible without support from sponsors and participants.
“The support felt during an event like this is something we are very grateful for,” he said in a press statement.
Team Schierl Companies was established in 1956 by John “Butch” Schierl in the home heating oil business and is currently owned and operated by John’s three sons, Tim, Fritz, and Bill Schierl. TSC operates 63 retail locations in Wisconsin and the upper peninsula of Michigan, focusing primarily on the retail service industries.
In May, the Schierl brothers announced they had offloaded its The Store brand to a Georgia company but TSC has stayed on as a partner.
