Taste of Wine & Cheese celebrates 20th anniversary with April event
By Patrick Lynn
STEVENS POINT — The Boys & Girls Club of Portage County is preparing to host the 20th annual Taste of Wine & Cheese, its largest fundraising event, on Friday, April 4.
The event runs from 7:30-10 p.m. at the Noel Group Hangar at Stevens Point Municipal Airport.
This year’s celebration offers attendees a chance to sample more than 100 wines, specialty cheeses, local beers, and desserts. Non-alcoholic beverages will also be available.
Alongside the culinary offerings, guests can participate in a silent auction, raffles, and other activities.
Tickets go on sale on March 1 and can be purchased online at www.bgclubpc.org/wine_and_cheese. Organizers encourage early purchases due to limited space.
Proceeds from the event directly benefit Boys & Girls Club programming, including afterschool and summer programs, healthy meals, and other services for nearly 2,000 youth across Portage County. Club programs focus on education, leadership, health, and recreation.
The event is supported by sponsors such as Festival Foods, John and Patty Noel, Rockman’s Catering, WAOW, and Midwest Communications.
