Suzanne K. Schlutter, 85

Suzanne K. Schlutter, 85, of Plover, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on Jan. 1, 2025.

She was born Feb. 8, 1939, in Ripon, Wis., the daughter of the late Walter Sr. and Alice (née Stellmacher) Lemiesz.

On April 12, 1958, Suzanne married Daniel H. Schlutter. The couple enjoyed 66 years of marriage and raised four children: Julie, Jeff, Jill, and Jon. Suzanne was proud of her growing family, which later included grandchildren and great-grandchildren, whom she adored.

Suzanne cherished time spent outdoors, enjoying walks and bike rides around Plover. She took pride in tending her flower gardens and loved spending time in the family pool—although she made sure no splashing occurred when the grandchildren joined her, as she didn’t want to get her hair wet. Suzanne also loved baking, especially making her famous brownies.

She was a member of St. Bronislava Catholic Church and the Rosary Society, and she enjoyed brunches with friends.

Survivors include her husband, Daniel; children Julie Schlutter, Jeff (Judy) Schlutter, and Jill (Rick) Jagodzinski; grandchildren Patti (Chad) Kramar, Ryan (Heather) Schlutter, Amanda (Bryan Gerber) Finnessy, Ashley (Corey) Nightengale, Allison Finnessy, and Cody (Brittany) Knutson; great-grandchildren Emily, Lynzie, Carter, Robert, Raegann, Cole, Kaleb, Emma, Axle, Finn, Brynlee, and Owen; sisters Phyllis Pesqueira, Alice Jean (Robert) Broder, and Bev (William) Fox; brother Dave Lemiesz; brother-in-law Don (Marietta) Schlutter; and sisters-in-law Eunice Lemiesz, Ann Lemiesz, and Doris Hanneman.

She was preceded in death by her parents; son Jon Schlutter; grandson Adam Schlutter; brothers Walter Lemiesz Jr. and Don Lemiesz; sister and brother-in-law JoAnn and Robert Dykstra; and brothers-in-law Robert Pesqueira and Robert Hanneman.

The family extends their heartfelt thanks to Compassus Hospice for their loving support.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 8, 2025, at St. Bronislava Catholic Church, 3200 Plover Road, Plover. The Rosary will be prayed at 9:15 a.m. Friends and family may gather at the church from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service.
