Stevens Point police say they’re looking for any information on the whereabouts of the suspect in Tuesday morning armed robbery.
Jared R. Clendenning, 19, is wanted in connection with an armed robbery that took place on at 1:41 a.m. on May 28.
According to Assistant Police Chief Tom Zenner, Clendenning was reportedly in possession of a long gun when he unlawfully entered the apartment of a 19-year-old woman on the 600 block of Second St. North.
Zenner said Clendenning is suspected of stealing “about $1,000” worth of personal items from the residence. He fled the scene before police arrived.
Police were called to the home again at 3:22 a.m. on May 29, when a caller reported Clendenning returned to the residence with a 17-year-old suspect, whose name has not been released by police, and caused a disturbance, entering into a physical altercation with another man in the home. The victim, in that case, a 23-year-old man, suffered cuts to his face but declined medical attention.
Again, Clendenning fled the scene before police arrived.
“We deployed K-9 Fala to search the grounds but we were unable to locate him at that time,” Zenner said. “We have been actively looking for Mr. Clendenning since.”
Anyone with information on Clendenning’s whereabouts should contact Lt. Robert Kussow at (715) 346-1515 or call the department’s non-emergency number at (715) 346-1500.
