Susan “Sue” Jeidy, 84

Susan “Sue” (née Braun) Jeidy, 84, entered eternal rest on Nov. 29, 2024, at Edenbrook Nursing Home in Wisconsin Rapids.

Sue was born on Nov. 5, 1940, in Postville, Iowa, to the late Joseph and Lillian (née Kuhse) Braun.

On March 26, 1964, she married Robert “Bob” Earl Jeidy, the love of her life. The couple moved throughout Wisconsin early in their marriage, following Bob’s career in silo construction. In 1978, they settled in Plover with their children, Trisha and Ryan. Sue worked outside the home in various roles, spending the longest part of her career at McCain Foods. After retiring, she devoted her time to her family, especially cherishing the opportunity to help care for her grandchildren.

Before starting their family, Sue and Bob enjoyed a vibrant social life, including card games, bowling leagues, and dancing. As a mother and grandmother, Sue found joy in creating lasting memories with her loved ones. She also enjoyed computer games, puzzles, and reading, and she volunteered with her churches, The Springs United Methodist Church in Plover and St. Paul’s United Methodist Church in Stevens Point. Sue also relished her Saturday visits to the salon for her weekly hair appointment.

Sue is survived by her daughter, Trisha (Scott) Moody of Nekoosa; her son, Ryan Jeidy of Stevens Point; grandchildren Tarren (Tayler), Dakota, Zachary, Wyatt, Violet, and Rosalie; great-grandchildren Diamond and Maximus; her sister-in-law, Bonnie (Tom) Hiebel of Catonsville, Md.; her brother-in-law, Grant (Jorie) Jeidy of Wind Lake; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bob; her parents, Joseph and Lillian; her parents-in-law, Earl and Emma Jeidy; her brother, Lloyd Braun; her brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Jack and Betty Jeidy, and Bill and Jean Trumm; and close friends, Eugene “Jug” and Marlene “Molly” Drallmeier.

The family extends heartfelt thanks to the staff at Heartland Hospice and Edenbrook Nursing Home for their compassionate care.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Sue’s honor for a tribute to be determined later.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 7, 2024, at Shuda Funeral Chapel, 3200 Stanley St., Stevens Point. Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 6, and again Saturday morning from 10 a.m. until the time of service.
