The Stockton Fire & EMS Department has lost one of its own.
Trudy Beth Peters, a longtime EMT with the department, died at her home on Thursday, March 16.
According to the Wisconsin Fire & EMS Memorial Board of Directors, Peters was “instrumental” in launching Stockton’s EMS group in the 1990s.
“Trudy has served the residents of the Town of Stockton and Portage County for nearly 30 years,” the Board said in a statement on social media.
In a statement made by the department about Peters’ death, the Stockton Fire Department said, “Our hearts hurt today as we have lost a family member. Trudy served our community for nearly 30 years and we will miss her dearly. Our prayers go out to Trudy’s family during this very difficult time.”
Funeral arraignments are pending.
