Mark your calendars for the Stockton Fire Department’s annual open house.

The annual affair will be held 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 13 at the SFD, 7252 6th St. in Custer, about five miles east of Walmart in Plover.

Chief Jeremy Spencer said he’s requested an appearance by the Portage Co. K9 Unit and a fly-in by Aspirus Medevac. Portage Co. Emergency Management will also be present.

“This would be a great time for anyone who is interested in joining to attend and see what we are all about,” Spencer said, adding the department also has a cadet program for those under the age of 18 interested in fire/EMS.

Chef C’s Munchie Mobile and Blue Barn Scoops Ice Cream Truck will offer food and snacks for purchase.

Spencer said the open house will include an emergency vehicle display, kids’ water games, fire extinguisher demonstrations, hands-only CPR lessons, and more.

The event is free and open to the public.
