How do I pronounce Dozynki?

The festival, which celebrates Polish heritage, will offer a variety of activities, including a “Battle of the Bands” with performances by the Ultimate Polka Band and LIVE IT UP from noon to 6 p.m. Children dressed in traditional Polish attire can attend for free, while general admission is $15 per person.

The festival will also highlight the Dozynki Skyward Scholarships, which will be presented at 4:45 p.m. The scholarships are open to high school juniors and seniors, with awards ranging from $500 to $1,500. Applications are available online at www.polishheritageawareness.com.

The event is supported by various sponsors, including the Moose Family Center, Heritage of Portage County Inc., the Polish Heritage Awareness Society, Skyward, and several local businesses. Polka music will be provided by local radio stations WDEZ 101.9 and WYTE Y106.5, both of which offer regular polka shows on Sundays.
