January 30

Bust: A 25-year-old man was arrested on a probation violation from the 900 block of Clark St. at 9:42 a.m.

Who knows: Police conducted a traffic stop on the 2500 block of Main St. at 10:38 and requested charges on a 55-year-old woman. No details were included in the blotter.

Not enough info: Police stopped someone at 11:17 a.m. on the 600 block of Main St. for failure to stop at a stop sign, but their name, age, and gender were not included in the blotter.

Fraud: A 57-year-old man called police to Community First Bank at 12:23 p.m. to report fraud, but no word on what type of fraud, so we can’t warn you what to watch out for.

Crash: Police responded to a three-vehicle collision at Michigan Ave. and Heffron St. at 4:04 p.m. No injuries were reported, but it was also unclear if anyone was cited.

Middle-aged yeller: Police conducted a welfare check on a known 47-year-old woman who was yelling on the corner of Main St. and Strongs Ave. at 4:22 p.m.

Disturbance, we guess: Police were called to Old Main, 2100 Main St., at 4:27 p.m. for some kind of disturbance, but no details were included in the blotter.

Should we guess?: A 69-year-old man reported a property crime on the 1200 block of River View Ave. at 4:44 p.m., but no details were included in the blotter.

Repeat offender: Police were called to Hobby Lobby, 5657 Hwy. 10 East, at 5:19 p.m. for a known 47-year-old woman who had been causing a disturbance at multiple locations. The woman was ultimately arrested at a nearby McDonald’s on a charge of disorderly conduct.

Door-to-door: A 42-year-old man called police to the 3300 block of Alder St. at 5:57 p.m. to complain about a suspicious person in the neighborhood. It turned out to be a salesman.

Red light runner: A 44-year-old man was issued a written warning for running a red light on the 1200 block of Main St. at 7:46 p.m.

Grow up: Police were called to Icon, 956 Main St., at 8:17 p.m., when a 26-year-old woman complained about someone making threats over Facebook. After reading the comments, the police determined it was a civil matter.

Lights: A 22-year-old man was issued a written warning for having an expired registration and a burnt-out headlight near Clark and Rogers streets at 9:47 p.m.

Papers, please: A 51-year-old woman was cited for non-registration of her vehicle and not carrying a driver’s license on the 200 block of Division St. at 9:56 p.m.

Non-stop: A 17-year-old boy was cited for running a stop sign at Michigan Ave. and Maria Dr. at 11:03 p.m.

Somebody: A person whose name, age, and gender were not included in the blotter was cited for speeding at River View Ave. and Water St. at 11:32 p.m.

January 31

Partied out: Police were called to conduct a welfare check on a man who was “passed out” at Graffiti’s, 912 Main St., at 2:21 a.m. The man was being cared for by friends and was OK.

Lights, man: A 24-year-old man was issued a written warning for driving without headlights at Division and Main streets at 2:48 a.m.

Homeless: Police were asked to conduct a welfare check on a 43-year-old homeless man at Kwik Trip, 1600 Maria Dr., at 5:10 a.m. No additional details were included in the blotter.

Domestic: A 30-year-old man who called police to the 2800 block of Indiana Ave. at 7:01 a.m. was ultimately arrested following a physical domestic disturbance.

Crash: Officers responded to Main and Division streets at 9:15 a.m. for a two-vehicle collision. No one was injured.

No clue: A 26-year-old woman was pulled over near Michigan Ave. and Main St. at 12 p.m., but the blotter doesn’t say why.

Argument: Police were called to the 1500 block of College Ave. at 4:49 p.m. for a disturbance. It turned out to be a verbal dispute between two people, a 31-year-old man and a woman, age 21.

Super drunk: Police were called to Holiday Inn, 1001 Amber Ave,. at 8:09 p.m. to conduct a welfare check on two men who were “very intoxicated.” No word on how it turned out.

A world of trouble: Police arrested a 24-year-old man for crashing into the fence at a private residence at Fourth Ave. and Union St. at 8:51 p.m. No injuries were reported, but the driver was arrested for first-offense OWI and possession of cocaine.

February 1

Violator: Police arrested a 63-year-old man for violating his probation on the 1300 block of Main St. at 1:51 a.m.

Fight: Police were called to the 2100 block of Jefferson St. at 4:17 a.m. when a 28-year-old man began a physical altercation with another man while a group of friends was having a party.

Rule-breaker: Police arrested a 47-year-old man for violating a restraining order on the 400 block of West Clark St. at 7:47 a.m.

Crash: Police were called to a single-vehicle collision at River View Ave. and West River Dr. at 8:48 p.m. No additional details were included in the blotter.

Homeless: Police were called to Kwik Trip, 1600 Maria Dr., at 10:40 p.m., when staff reported that a homeless man had been loitering inside the business for too long. The man was given a ride to an area shelter.

Invader: Police were called to the 1500 block of Church St. at 11:26 p.m. when a 28-year-old woman reported someone had broken into her apartment. A 21-year-old man was taken under arrest for criminal trespass and criminal property damage.
