Stevens Point Brewery unveils new summer seasonal ale

STEVENS POINT – The Stevens Point Brewery has launched a new seasonal beer just in time for the warmer months, introducing the Point Great Outdoors Adventure Ale, a wheat ale brewed with subtle tropical notes.
The new release is designed to pair with outdoor fun, whether by the lake, at the cabin, or relaxing on the patio. The ale is available in six-pack bottles, 12-pack cans, and on tap wherever Point Beers are sold.
“Our goal was to craft a well-balanced wheat ale with a touch of playful tropical flavors,” said Brewmaster Mike Schraufnagel. “The final recipe features a balanced blend of white wheat malt enhanced by the delicate hopping of Cluster and Mt. Hood – all with a hint of tropical fruit in the finish.”
The Great Outdoors Adventure Ale pays homage to the 1988 film The Great Outdoors, where Point Beers make several appearances. The lighthearted nod is part of the brewery’s branding, aiming to evoke memories of classic Wisconsin summers.
“This easy-drinking beer perfectly captures the vibes of fun Wisconsin summers,” said Julie Birrenkott, director of marketing. “From vacations to supper clubs to out-of-state visitors, a cold beer makes every summer moment better, whether you’re in Wisconsin or just dreaming of a good escape.”
Founded in 1857, the Stevens Point Brewery produces a variety of beverages, including Point Special Lager, Ciderboys Hard Ciders, Whole Hog Brews and Point Sodas. Other seasonal offerings include Oktoberfest in the fall and Snow Pilot and Point Bock in the winter.
