A private entombment will be at Lake View Memorial Park in Oshkosh, Wis.

Stanley was born in the Town of New Hope on February 22, 1931 to Peter and Martha (Glodowski) Hintz. He met his future wife Esther Zaborowski picking potatoes in a neighboring field. They united in marriage on June 2, 1951 and together they had three children.

After marriage, Stanley was drafted into the U.S. Army. Inducted in January 1952. He served in Korea from June 1952 until his honorable discharge in October of 1953 as staff sergeant. Stanley and Esther moved to Milwaukee to find work until they were able to purchase a dairy farm. The farm was his pride and joy.

After retiring at the age of 62, Stanley sold the milking cows but still continued to raise beef 15 years after he retired. One of Stanley’s many joys was taking his “Gator” out for a drive on his farm to see how the neighboring fields were doing, driving through his woods, and just sitting somewhere quiet to enjoy nature. He also enjoyed fishing, hunting, especially bow hunting until the age of 90.

Stanley was very devoted to his family. Spending time with his children and his grandchildren gave him the greatest joy of his life. He was devoted to his faith and was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Polonia.

Stanley is survived by his loving wife of 70 years Esther; daughter Linda A. Mueller, Oshkosh; son Jim A. Hintz, Rosholt; and daughter Arlene M. Hintz, Bonduel; and four grandchildren Brendan Mitts-Hintz, Tristan Mitts-Hintz, Mallory M. Pliska, and Aaron M. Pliska. He is further survived by his sister Regina (Mike) Karpinski, Milwaukee; brother-in-law Daniel Zaborowski, Amherst Junction, and many other relatives and friends.

Stanley was preceded in death by his parents; brothers Harry, Bill, Emil, and Irving, sisters Esther and Doris, and son-in-law Jerry Mueller.

Stanley’s family would like to extend a special thank you to the nurses and staff of Aspirus Riverview Hospital for their gentle care and support.

Shuda Funeral Chapel is honored to assist the family.
