UPDATE: SPPD nabs suspected porch pirate

Stevens Point police have arrested a man on suspicion of stealing a package from someone else’s front porch.

SPPD on Monday released a video captured by a Nest doorbell system. The video appears to show a male wearing a mask taking a package from a porch. The incident occurred at 7:57 p.m. on March 19, but police did not say where it happened.

Lt. Dana Williams, who now oversees the department’s investigation bureau, said the department made an arrest Monday afternoon. No other information was immediately released.
