SPASH tops Merrill 7-1

The SPASH Panthers baseball team increased their winning streak to thirteen Monday night at Bukolt Park by defeating Merrill in a WVC conference match-up 7-1.
SPASH tallied nine hits for the game with eight players contributing one hit each.
Justin Morton led in hits going 2-for-3 with two doubles. Jack Kelly and Logan Schulfer each hit a double. Schulfer led the team in RBIs with two.
Austin Beyer was the winning pitcher going five innings allowing one run on four hits with three strikeouts and no walks. Kaleb Schulist pitched the final three innings out of the bullpen with one hit, no walks, no runs and four strikeouts.
The Panthers will travel to Merrill on Thursday for a 5 p.m. game.
