Two seniors at SPASH have been honored by the 2022 National Merit Scholarship Program.
Isaac Roloff and Sarah Zuge have been named Commended Students in the 2022 National Merit Scholarship Program. The recognition is made in honor of the students’ “outstanding academic promise,” according to the program’s website.
A Letter of Commendation from the school and National Merit Scholarship Corporation, which conducts the program, was recently presented to both students.
In a news release from the school district, SPASH principal Jon Villendorf said the school was proud to celebrate the students’ achievements.
“We are exceptionally proud of their accomplishment, especially given the challenges presented in the last year and a half,” Vollendorf said.
The two students join about 34,000 others across the nation who’ve been given the recognition. Roloff and Zuge place among the top 50,000 students who entered the 2022 competition by taking the 2020 Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship qualifying test.
