SPASH JV girls golf ties for third at Wisconsin River Invite

STEVENS POINT – The Stevens Point Area Senior High junior varsity girls golf team earned a third-place finish Monday at the Wisconsin River Golf Club.

The Panthers posted a team score of 221 in the 9-hole, individual stroke play invite, tying with Rhinelander in a field of eight teams.

SPASH’s top finisher was Joy Rainbow, who carded a 54. She was followed closely by Addison Heckel at 55, Maija Belke and Ellie Cisewski each with 56, and Bailey Naidl with 57.

Wausau claimed the team title with 217, just edging out DC Everest at 220. SPASH and Rhinelander shared third at 221, followed by Wisconsin Rapids (245), Marshfield (251), Adams-Friendship (263), and Amherst.
