SPASH golfer helps foursome to second-place finish at JV Invite

STEVENS POINT — SPASH golfer Rae Hulce helped her foursome to a second-place finish Friday during a junior varsity girls golf invite at Wisconsin River Golf Club.

The Aug. 28 event featured JV golfers from several area schools in a nine-hole, four-person scramble. Unlike a traditional team meet, each foursome included golfers representing different schools.

Hulce teamed with Kali Bernette of Wisconsin Rapids, Brinlee Bruce of Adams-Friendship and Saige Jablonski of D.C. Everest. The group shot a 38 to finish second.

The winning foursome shot a 35 and included Kendal Quinnel of Adams-Friendship, Maddie Karolus of Amherst, Jayden Carroll of D.C. Everest and Emma Graveen of Wausau.

A foursome consisting of Hayden Davis of Adams-Friendship, Addison Allen of Amherst, Cora Strehlow of Wausau and Emma Brittenham of D.C. Everest shot a 41 and took third place following a scorecard playoff.

SPASH’s Addie Heckel also competed in the meet.
