SPASH girls soccer notches home win

The SPASH girls soccer team picked up a 4-0 win over Wausau East in its home opener.
The win improves the Panthers record to 3-0-1.
Tigist Ficken put the Panthers on the board at the 19:13 mark of the first period unassisted. Olivia Clemens followed with the first of her two goals at the 22:38 mark. Lauren Johnson picked up the assist and SPASH took a 2-0 lead into the halftime break.
Kaylee Newland kicked off the scoring in the second period off the assist from Grace Smith at 9:34 of the period and Olivia Clemens picked up her second goal of the game at 32:40 with the assist from Lexi Ford.
SPASH recorded 21 shots on goal.
The Panthers return to action hosting Wausau West Thursday, May 3 and Marshfield Thursday, May 8. Both games are set to kick off at 7 p.m. at the Portage County Youth Soccer Complex.
