SPASH girls golf advances to sectionals after regional fourth-place finish

CENTRAL WISCONSIN – The Lady Panthers golf team is moving on to sectionals after earning a fourth-place finish Wednesday at the WIAA Division 1 regional meet at Hiawatha Golf Club.
The SPASH girls’ golf team posted a team score of 393 in the 18-hole, individual stroke-play event, securing one of four qualifying spots out of 10 teams.
Senior Jenna Barber led SPASH with a 90, followed closely by Alexis Wagner at 91. Karlie Kostuchowski carded a 105, while Vanessa Hatfield finished with a 107, and Maddie Anderson added a 113.
Head coach Jenessa Reid said she was proud of the team’s steady play under postseason pressure.
The Panthers will compete Monday in the sectional tournament at Wisconsin River Golf Club, with a chance to advance to state.
