SPASH baseball rallies past Appleton West

SPASH baseball defeated Appleton West on Monday 7-2 in a non-conference game at Bukolt Park.

The Panthers started off the first inning strong bringing in four runs with Mason King and Tristan Aldrich both bringing two teammates across the plate on ground balls.

One highlight of the game was a home run to left field in the fourth inning by senior second baseman Justin Morton.

Tristan Aldrich led SPASH in hits going 2-for-3. Aldrich and King led the team in RBIs with two.

Logan Schulfer was the winning pitcher going five innings with three strikeouts, three hits, two walks, and one run. Reese Gaber pitched out of the bullpen to close the game.

SPASH does not have any conference games scheduled this week but will be traveling to Chippewa Falls on Saturday for a doubleheader at Casper Park with the first game starting at 11 a.m.
