SPASH announces 2024 Fall Athletic Hall of Fame

STEVENS POINT – Stevens Point Area Senior High (SPASH) has revealed its 2024 Fall Athletic Hall of Fame class.

The inductees will be honored on Sept. 21, 2024, at SentryWorld Atrium.

The SPASH Athletic Hall of Fame celebrates outstanding individuals, teams, and contributors who have brought honor to themselves, their school, and the community through their achievements.

The 2024 class features a diverse group of inductees, including teams, individuals, coaches, friends, and supporters of SPASH athletics. The inductees are:

  • Scott Krueger: Voice of SPASH Athletics
  • Tom Drohbner: Softball Coach
  • 2001, 2002, 2004 Softball Teams: State Champions
  • Bob Schroeder (1957), Bob Kobishop (1965), Glenn White (1979), Jim Graboski (1979), Craig Paulson (1980), Pam Suplicki (Brilowski) (1980), Todd Barnes (1982), Jay Laszewski (1982), Joanna Jaquith-Fritz (1983), Randy Gruber (1985), Tom Roman (1988), Kris Hanson (1989), Jason Behrendt (1990), Alexis Mains (Simcakoski) (2002), Jill Saddison (Lehman) (2003), Lindsay Rosicky (Fitzgerald) (2003), Korryn Brooks (Dean) (2004), Kelly Jablonski (Pliska) (2004), Kaite Maultra (2006).

SPASH athletes have won 80 WIAA State Championships, 43 WIAA State Team Championships, and 32 state team runner-up trophies. Many athletes have earned all-state honors and player of the year awards, with several competing at the professional and Olympic levels. Alumni are currently represented in the NBA, NFL, MLB, and NHL.

Open to the public, the event will begin at 4:30 p.m. with a social and hors d’oeuvres, followed by the induction ceremony at 6 p.m.

Schedule of Events:

  • 3:45 p.m.: Informational meeting, photos, media interviews, and introductions at the SPASH athletic office, 1201 Northpoint Drive, Stevens Point.
  • 4:30 p.m.: Social and hors d’oeuvres at SentryWorld Atrium.
  • 5:30 p.m.: Hall of Fame inductees gather for a group picture at the atrium entrance.
  • 6:00 p.m.: Induction ceremony.
