Skyward wins Bubbler Award for second time

For the Metro Wire

Skyward has received a 2018 Bubbler Award for establishing a leading workplace culture for millennials in Wisconsin.

NEWaukee and the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation (WEDC) will present Skyward with their Bubbler Award on May 16 at the company’s Stevens Point world headquarters.

Each year, NEWaukee holds Young Professional Week, a week-long platform to highlight young professional voices. Running from April 20-28, this year’s event began with NEWaukee’s announcement of the 2018 Bubbler Awards which recognize the ten best places to work for young professionals in Wisconsin.

Skyward employees nominated the company for the award, which was evaluated and selected as a final recipient for a second consecutive year by a group of millennial leaders across the state of Wisconsin.

Hundreds of nominations were submitted, with evaluations centered on what young professionals look for in today’s workplace including competitive salary and benefits, opportunity for advancement, and employee and community engagement.

“We’re thrilled to be recognized for our company culture. To be able to attract and retain hardworking, positive people is what truly makes Skyward successful,” said Skyward president Scott Glinski. “It’s extremely rewarding to receive this honor for a second time and to know that Skyward exemplifies the type of workplace environment that employees genuinely enjoy.”

Since moving to its new corporate headquarters in 2016, Skyward has continued to expand its workforce and customer base, which now total over 580 employees and more than 2,000 customers. Skyward continues to experience steady growth by focusing on collaboration, reliability, communication, and creativity.

“When people think ‘tech’ they immediately imagine the coasts. Wisconsin has always been home to innovation in all industries and we are lucky to have a leader in technology like Skyward right in the heart of our state,” said Angela Damiani, CEO of NEWaukee.

Skyward will be represented at multiple public events later in 2018 to showcase what makes the company a Top 10 Workplace in Wisconsin.

“Lively colleagues, a state-of-the-art building, and a youthful atmosphere all contribute to the company’s great work environment,” explained Skyward employee and young professional Cullen Schneider. “I’m proud to work for a company that provides fun and fulfilling careers for every generation.”
