Sheriff’s office welcomes two new dispatchers

The Portage Co. Communications Center has sworn in two new dispatchers.
The two were sworn into their roles during a special ceremony at the Law Enforcement Center on Jan. 10.
Beth Gadow previously worked for the communications center 2014-18. She previously lived in Milwaukee and worked as a communications technician in Columbia Co. She lives in Kellner with her husband and children.
Kianna Carlson is a Kentucky native but grew up in the Fox Valley area. She previously worked for the Oshkosh Police Department. She lives in Plover with her husband, new baby, and several pets.
The Portage Co. Communications Center provides dispatch services for all police, fire, and EMS agencies in the county and acts as the communications hub for emergency and other services in the area. It’s located inside the Law Enforcement Center, 1500 Strongs Ave., in Stevens Point.
