The class is the official training program from the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources, taught by certified sheriff’s deputies and other trained volunteers. Students will learn the fundamentals of safe and legal operation of snowmobiles and ATVs.

Classes run from 4-7 p.m. in the training room of the PCSO, 1500 Strongs Ave., on Dec. 2, 4, 9, and 11. Space is limited and the class is expected to fill quickly.

To legally operate the equipment, anyone born on or after January 1, 1985, is required to hold a valid Snowmobile Safety Certificate, and anyone born on or after January 1, 1988, must hold a valid ATV Safety Certificate, under state law.
