Sheriff’s office promotes Van Dreel

Benjamin Van Dreel Left has been promoted to corporal.

Van Dreel was sworn in to his new role by Sheriff Mike Lukas during a small ceremony on Feb. 8. Van Dreel’s wife Ashley, and parents, Mark and Sue, were also present.

Van Dreel started with the sheriff’s office by working in the communications dispatch center before taking a job as a corrections officer. He is now a corporal in the Portage Co. Jail.
