Sheriff’s office ID’s Junction City body, still investigating death

The body of a 49-year-old man found on Monday has been identified.
The man, Junction City resident Robert Ingersoll, was “in a deep embankment” found shortly after noon on Nov. 30 on West First St. in Junction City.
The body was found by a passerby who called 911, according to Sheriff Mike Lukas.
Preliminary investigation indicates the death is not suspicious, Lukas said, but the official cause of death remains under investigation and is pending an autopsy and toxicology tests.
Anyone with information about Ingersoll’s death, or anyone who may have had interaction with him after Wednesday, Nov. 25, at 6:30 p.m., is asked to contact Det. Kevin Flick at (715) 346-1858.
