Sex offender released in Stevens Point on Tuesday

A convicted sex offender who has completed his prison term is being released back into the community on Oct. 27.

According to a news release from SPPD Lt. Dana Williams, Jeffrey M. Woodworth, 44, will be living at 1019 Arlington Pl. in Stevens Point. 

Woodworth was convicted on two counts of second-degree child sex assault, once in 1997 and again in 2006. 

Woodworth will be placed on supervision with the Wisconsin Department of Corrections, and monitored by Sex Offender Agent Specialists with the Division of Community Corrections, in Portage County. He is subject to lifetime GPS monitoring.

Woodworth has additional conditions including not having any unsupervised contact with minors and is not permitted to consume drugs. He is required to comply with standard sex offender rules and cooperate with electronic monitoring.
