Sentry to hold IT hiring event on Oct. 19

Sentry Insurance will host an open house and hiring event for its Information Technology (IT) department on Wednesday, October 19, from 11 a.m.–7 p.m. at SentryWorld.

During this event, prospective employees can meet Sentry IT staff, discover what software, tools, and platforms the company uses, learn job details about specific areas of IT, and apply for a position.

Attendees can also gain an understanding of Sentry’s modern application portfolio and cloud capabilities, while also learning about the company’s history, benefits package, amenities, hybrid work model, and community involvement.

“We’ve heard during the recruiting and hiring process that candidates weren’t aware of the software and advanced technologies we work with to deliver projects and run our operations until they were in our building and a part of the team,” said Jim Frank, Sentry Chief Information Officer. “We want to share with IT professionals the opportunities available in our IT department—and Sentry as a whole.”

Sentry is currently hiring for teams across its IT department, including Information Security, Data Services, Cloud and Platform Engineering, App Development, and Infrastructure Engineering.

The Sentry IT department consists of more than 750 employees across the country, with a majority of them based in Stevens Point.

Sentry was recently ranked No. 650 on the Fortune 1000 list and named one of America’s Best Mid-Size Employers by Forbes.
