Scott A. “Scooter” King, 47

Scott A. “Scooter” King, 47, of Rudolph, passed away unexpectedly from natural causes on Tuesday, Aug. 14, 2018, at home.

He was born on March 11, 1971, in Wisconsin Rapids, to Wayne and Joan (Berg) King, and was a graduate of Lincoln High School. He went on to earn two associate degrees at Mid-State Technical College – electronics technician and computer electronics technician.

Scott had worked at Color Check in Wisconsin Rapids, Simpson Electric in Lac Du Flambeau and currently Worzalla Publishing in Stevens Point for the past 19 years. He enjoyed music and played drums in the band “Life Dust.” He also enjoyed flying RC airplanes and drones.

Survivors include his parents Wayne and Joan King of Wisconsin Rapids; brothers, Arthur of Milwaukee, and Gary (Debbie) of Wisconsin Rapids; sister, Connie (Pete) Brandl of Wisconsin Rapids; nephews, Ryan (Gina) King of DePere, Chad Brandl of Alabama, Cory (Angie) Brandl of Holmen, Zachary King of Wisconsin Rapids, Brady and Dylan King of Chicago; nieces, Theresa Brandl of Switzerland, Kristin (Nick) Weber of Madison, and Jennifer (Andrew) Dannehy of Blair, Wisconsin; also many great-nephews and nieces.

Scott was preceded in death by his sister, Lori; brother, Kim; paternal grandparents, Roy and Lydia King; and maternal grandparents, Art and Geraldine Berg.

A time for visitation will be held from 9-11 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 17, 2018, at the Herman-Taylor Funeral Home in Wisconsin Rapids. A private funeral service will be held.
