An afternoon with Santa is scheduled for Saturday, Dec. 15 on the city’s north side.

In partnership with Bev’s Floral and Gifts, the Stevens Point Area Convention & Visitors Bureau is hosting its fourth annual free “Afternoon with Santa” event for children and their families from 1-4 p.m. at the CVB headquarters, 340 North Division St.

Children of all ages can get a picture taken with Santa and Mrs. Claus, write and mail a letter to Santa, enjoy Christmas cookies, and color Christmas cards.

Children 5 years of age and older will also be able to make a custom Christmas gift for family members. Craft supplies will be available on a first-come, first-serve basis.

New this year, Santa will bring along his reindeer, thanks to a little help from Noel Productions.

“We can’t wait to see the joy on children’s faces as they meet real reindeer and meet Santa and Mrs. Claus,” said Debbie Freeberg, owner of Bev’s Floral. “We look forward to this every year.”

Bev’s Floral has been locally-owned and operated in Stevens Point for over 25 years, and was named “2016 Small Business of the Year” by the Portage County Business Council.
