The Rotary Club of Stevens Point will host its 2nd Annual Cribbage Tournament on April 7 at Rookies Sports Pub in Stevens Point.
The tournament starts at 12 p.m., with registration open at 11:30. Each player will play nine games, changing partners between each match.
The proceeds from the fundraiser benefit various Rotary projects, to include toy drives for the holidays, food drives for the USWP student food pantry, international aid projects, microphone sets for the Playhouse Theater Group and equipment purchases for Cycling Without Age.
“The Rotary Club of Greater Portage County is involved in a lot of local and international focus projects,” said Club President Rachel Swedberg. “Our club makes it a point to choose projects that will have a lasting impact, that will solve a root problem instead of just providing a band-aid, and support projects where our members can be actively involved.”
Admission into the contest is $15 beforehand, and $20 at the door. There are 40 slots available and the grand prize is $100 in Portage County gift certificates.
