RoseMarie Wojcik, 80
RoseMarie Wojcik, age 80, of Stevens Point, died Monday, April 5, 2021, at Sylvan Crossing under the care of St. Croix Hospice.
RoseMarie was born on August 22, 1940, on the family farm in the Town of Carson, and was the daughter of the late John and Helen (Shilka) Zarecki, Jr.
RoseMarie attended local grade schools and graduated from P.J. Jacob High School.
Her marriage to Edward J. Wojcik took place on July 26, 1958, at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Junction City. Her husband Edward preceded her in death on October 31, 2015.
RoseMarie worked at Hal’s Red Owl as a cashier for many years retiring in 1980. She enjoyed fishing and camping, birdwatching, and traveling with her husband Edward. Her grandchildren were her greatest joy and loved traveling to see them.
Survivors include her two children; Cheryl (Troy) Thompson of Stevens Point and Edward (Debra) Wojcik of Amherst Junction. Her seven grandchildren; Eric, Sam, Thaddeus, Melissa, Kiana, Jesse, and Nicole, two step-grandchildren; Holly and Brett, and five great-grandchildren; Felicity, Emersyn, Chandler, Camden, and Wyatt. Further survived by two sisters; Elizabeth “Betty” (Maynard) Iwanski and Joyce (Douglas) Schauer.
She was preceded in death by her husband Edward, and two sisters; Carolyn Holbrook-Nering and Joan Zarecki.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, April 9, 2021, at the Pisarski Funeral Home, 703 Second Street, Stevens Point. Rev. Dennis Lynch officiating. Burial will follow in the St. Casimir Parish Cemetery in the Town of Hull. Family and friends may visit from 9 a.m. Friday morning at the Pisarski Funeral Home until the time of services.
