Roberts Irrigation Company honored for energy efficiency efforts

PLOVER — Roberts Irrigation Company has been recognized with the 2024 Focus on Energy Efficiency Excellence Award for its dedication to agribusiness energy efficiency.

Founded in 1957, Roberts Irrigation has been a pioneer in advancing irrigation technology. The company has played a crucial role in helping farmers transition from heavy steel pipes to modern, energy-efficient systems. Over the past decade, their collaboration with Focus on Energy has resulted in significant energy savings, equating to enough electricity to power more than 1,000 Plover homes for one year.

The award was presented at the company’s headquarters, 1500 Post Rd., on Aug. 29.

Focus on Energy, Wisconsin’s statewide energy efficiency and renewable resource program, annually honors businesses and Trade Ally Contractors for their commitment to energy efficiency. This year’s recipients, including Roberts Irrigation, were acknowledged for contributing to energy savings and renewable energy initiatives across the state.
