Robert J. Kawleski, 63

Robert J. Kawleski, age 63, died at home on March 10, 2018 while under the care of his loving family.

Robert was born November 1, 1954 to the late Eugene and Hazel (Allen) Kawleski in Portsmouth, Va. His family relocated to Waupaca, where he attended the local grade schools and graduated from high school in 1973.

After high school, Robert worked for a home moving and relocation construction company as a structure laborer. He also worked for the Waupaca Foundry until becoming employed with Community Industries. Robert subsequently found employment with Del Monte Food as a production worker.

Robert married Georgia Upthagrove on February 13, 1981 in Stevens Point.

Robert will be remembered for his heart of gold and his quick wit. In his spare time he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and playing guitar. His thirst for knowledge, and testing his quick wit, fueled Robert’s passion to enter a team in the central Wisconsin’s yearly trivia contest. Spending time with family was also especially important to Robert, especially his grandchildren.

Survivors include his loving wife, Georgia Kawleski; daughter, Robin (Joseph) Figarino; grandchildren, Austin & Lilyanna; siblings, David (Patricia) Kawleski & Darlene (Richard) Christensen; nieces and nephews; and extend family members.

He is preceded in death by his parents; and his brother, Sylvan “Bunkey” Kvaley.

A private family celebration will be held at a late date. His family would like to thanks Heartland Hospice for their compassion.
